16. Highlight your tube layer and
Add a new raster layer directly on top.
Choose a contrast color in Materials Palette
Any colour will do as we will be deleting this later
Go to your paint brush and Choose the small round dot brush, size 5
Now I want to you choose an area on your tube that you would
like to see with some glitter (noise).
A small delicate area.
In my example below
I have chosen a few strands of her hair.
This is a time when less is more
Now on the blank layer directly on top of the tube layer
paint tiny dots.
I always enlarge the tag to do this,
Sometimes up to 300%.
Carefully dab the paintbrush onto the areas
You wish to add the noise.
Do it slowly and be delicate.
Remember it takes practice
and you can always hit the undo and do it again
Okay once you’re happy
Return the tag to original size
At this moment you may think it looks very odd
But soon you will see why we have done this
17. Now go to selection tool
Rectangle, Mode/replace, Feather/ 0, antialias not checked
Draw a square around all of your painted dabs
Click inside the square
And you will then have marching ants
Over on your layer palette you will see the layer
is now a floating selection
18. Now over on your layer palette
Click on the TUBE LAYER
You must check you have the tube layer
Then duplicate the tube layer twice
and highlight to original tube layer
Go to Adjust/Add Noise - Random/ Monochrome/ 70
Go to tube duplicate layer and Adjust/Add Noise - 75
Go to 2nd tube duplicate
Adjust/ add noise/ 80
Select None.
Make sure you are now on the paintbrush layer and Delete paintbrush layer
You will now have:
White raster layer (bottom layer)
Mask layer
Paper fill layer
Tube layer
Tube duplicate layer
Tube duplicate layer 2
Heart layer
Heart layer duplicate
Heart layer duplicate 2
Roses layer
Smaller roses layer
Heart element layer
Heart element layer duplicate
Heart element layer duplicate 2
19. Highlight the top layer.
Open the word art tube and
Copy/ paste as new layer
Resize as needed
