Snow vs Glitter Instructions

This is an instructional tutorial to help you understand
how to create two (2) different animated speeds on one tag.
If you look at the top image you will see the snow appears
to be falling at a slower rate then the glittering hearts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • 1) Prepare your tag that you want to have different animated speeds on.  Making sure you have everything in layers.
  • 2) This is an example of how the header tag layer palette looks like.  Note there are three Snow layers(ready to animate) and three noise Glitterheart layers.  Make sure your tag is similar with the same number of layers for snow and glitter (noise).
  • 3) Open your Animation Shop and follow these steps. You will end up with 9 frames when finished.
    • 1.  In PSP leave Snow layer 1 and Glitterheart 1 open.  Close the other snow and glitterheart layers.
    • 2.  Copy merged and paste as new animation into Animation Shop.
    • 3.  Back in PSP, keep Snow1 open.  Close Glitterheart1.  Open Glitterheart2.  Copy merged and paste Behind current frame (1) in Animation Shop.
    • 4.  In PSP keep Snow1 open.  Close Glitterheart2.  Open Glitterheart3.  Copy merged and paste behind current frame (2) in Animation Shop.
      NOTE: If you test your tag now in Animation Shop by viewing animation, you will see like my example that only the glitterhearts are animated and not the snow:
    • 5.  Back to PSP and CLOSE Snow1.  Open Snow2.  Close Glitterheart3. Open Glitterheart1.  You should now have Snow2 and Glitterheart1 open and all other snow and glitterheart layers closed.  Copy merged and paste behind last frame (3) in Animation Shop. (This will create 4 frames total)
    • 6.  In PSP keep Snow2 open.  Close Glitterheart1.  Open Glitterheart2.  Copy merged and paste behind current frame (4) into Animation Shop.
    • 7.  In PSP keep Snow2 open.  Close Glitterheart2.  Open Glitterheart3.  Copy merged and paste behind current frame (5) into Animation Shop.  (This will give you 6 frames total)
    • 8.  Back to PSP and CLOSE Snow2.  Open Snow3.  Close Glitterheart3. Open Glitterheart1.  Copy merged and paste behind last frame (6) in Animation Shop. (This will create 7 frames total)
    • 9.  In PSP keep Snow3 open.  Close Glitterheart1.  Open Glitterheart2.  Copy merged and paste behind current frame (7) into Animation Shop.
    • 10.  In PSP keep Snow3 open.  Close Glitterheart2.  Open Glitterheart3.  Copy merged and paste behind current frame (8) into Animation Shop.  This will give you a total of 9 frames - see this diagram:
  • 4)  Now view your Animation and you should see the snow falling at a slower speed then the glittering hearts as shown here:
Hope these instructions were helpful.  Be sure to save and share your results with the group!
