Cutout & .png

Let's follow with the tutorial... Did you have a good cup or coffee or tea??? :)

When you've merged the two layers, copy the merged layer and paste as new image. You'll see the cutout image without background. So, go to File/Export/PNG Optimizer, and use these settings to get the best quality:

PNG settings 1
PNG settings 2
PNG settings 3

If you are working with Photoshop, go to File/Save for Web, and see what to do

Note: The .png is very useful not only for cutout images; you can save and keep all kind of works you plan to use later as part of another graphic; in fact, as PSD files are really big, when I do a Photoshop interface, I use to keep the "skeleton" in .png.

Try this, and you'll see how easy is to find your wanted file using the usual preview, with the Windows visor!!!
